Already a certified diver who has an interest in specific dives?  Why not become a specialist in that area.  We offer many specialty courses that take between 1 – 3 days and all give you a PADI specialty certification card.  All these courses are led by one of our experienced PADI instructors. If you accumulate 5 different specialty ratings you can become a Master Scuba Diver, the highest non-professional diver rating worldwide.  Chose from any of the following specialty courses.

  Our very own exclusive PADI thresher shark specialty.  Experienced Exotic dive staff wrote this course, which covers why the sharks are here; the threats they face; basic anatomy and cleaning. The course further explains cleaning stations what they are; how to locate them and the importance they have for a healthy coral reef.  A must for anyone interested in learning about these wonderful sharks.

  Fed up not being able to tell an anthia from a grouper? This is the course for you. Learn how to classify fish families; the tricks to identifying and what habitats are favored by different species.

Duration – 1-2 days, includes 2 dives, project aware manual, certification and use of required diving equipment.

  Spent lots of time diving off boats but still get confused over port, leeward and head?  The boat diver course will teach you all about boat terminology and the safest way to dive off a boat.

Duration – 1-2 days, includes 2 dives, certification and use of required diving equipment.

  Do you enjoy deep dives where you look down into the deep blue water and wait for the large pelagic?  Do you wish you could go that bit further and increase your chance of a shark encounter. The deep specialty will take you to the limits of recreational diving where you never know what you will see.

Duration – 2-3 days, includes 3/4 dives, PADI manual, certification and use of required diving equipment.

  For the diver who does not want to do any form of studying on holiday and yet wants to complete the enriched air diver course, the online version is an option for you.

  The PADI enriched air nitrox course online provides interactive presentations that include videos, audio, graphics and reading covering all the knowledge development requirements for the course. Periodic short quizzes will let you gauge your progress and review and correct anything you might have missed.

  Prior to certification as an enriched air diver you will need to complete a practical application session which we will conduct in the form of two enriched air dives. In order to enroll in your PADI e-learning advanced open water course click the e-learning link on our website and follow the simple steps. A fee of $195US is to be paid directly to PADI, this gives you unlimited access to an electronic PADI enriched air manual. Exotic Dive Resort will charge you an additional amount for the completion of the two  in water dives, use of required diving equipment and your  PADI enriched air certification.

  Are you fed up of always being led on a dive?  The navigation specialty will teach you all the skills you need to ensure that you can plan and navigate a dive anywhere and never misplace the boat.  The course covers intensive compass work and natural navigation.

  Do you enjoy the calm tranquility of night diving?  Become a night specialist. Learn how to navigate at night. Learn more about nighttime creatures and how to find them.  This course will teach you the skills to be able to plan and lead your own night dive successfully.

Duration – 3 days, includes 3 dives, PADI manual, certification and use of required diving equipment including flashlights.

  Improve your buoyancy to the level of a professional diver. This course will teach you the correct breathing to improve your air consumption and buoyancy and will help get rid of any extra weight.  If you are a budding photographer this course is for you.

  Want to explore the inside of an underwater wreck safely? This course will give you the knowledge and practical experience you need to be able to map and penetrate mysterious sunken wrecks.
