Mactan Airport
Note: Be careful in choosing your arrival and departure
dates. If your flight lands in Cebu on Good Friday or on Christmas day, there are no domestic flights. The
ferryboat has a day-off too, so you're stuck in the City losing a day at the beach. During Easter-time it
sometimes happens that for three days in a row there is no local transportation available, so check it out!
Transportation to the resort
Individual per bus from Cebu City to Maya

The bus in Maya
Take a Taxi from your Cebu hotel or Mactan airport (ca. 200 Pesos)
to...Northern bus terminal / Reclamation area here you can find the bus company "D ‘ROUGH RIDERS" and
"CEBU AUTOBUS" from here every hour there is a bus leaving to Maya. First trip ca.
4:00 AM last trip 4:00 PM the fare price is ca. 65 Pesos. If you come with the bus the best time to travel is
early in the morning because the temperature is cooler and you are away from the traffic. Be sure
you always take the bus with a signboard "Maya Bagay".

We suggest you to take either ‘D Rough Riders or Autobus (orange color)
this bus goes directly to Maya because there are also bus who have a signboard Maya but they go first to Hagnaya which will make your
journey longer. Maya is a little town on the north point of Cebu and also jump off point for the boat to Malapascua Island. The bus ride
will normally take 3 to 4 hours and stop directly in the port where you can see the outrigger boats waiting for you to depart for
Malapascua.
Be aware during your trip for people who will try to convince you to go other places their only aim is to
receive an extra commission. Also when you arrive in the port there are boys waiting who will take your luggage
or bags to the boat but then they expect from you to give them a little amount for carrying your bag which is
normal. It’s your own choice whether you bring your own bag or let them help you in return for a little amount,
which is mostly for your own convenience. This happens also at the northern terminal bus station.
Per boat from Maya to Malapascua Island
If you want to be pick up from Maya please let us know as early as
possible. (Resort cellular no.+63 (0) 918-77 40 484). The boat trip direct to the resort takes only about 30
minutes. It’s also possible to take a regular passenger boat to the island. The fare is around 50
Pesos per person and this boat leave around 11:00 AM in Maya. But mostly there are more possibilities depending
on the demand of passenger. Always ask the boat man on before hand to drop you in front
of our resort, because otherwise you might be drop just some were on the bounty beach and you still have to walk
another 10 minutes. The trip with the passenger boat normally takes longer because people
want to go out on different places.
It’s also possible to take a "special ride” at anytime; this means
you hire a complete boat in Maya to bring you to the Resort. The price for the whole boat is around 350 to 500
Pesos.
Note: If it is low tide at Maya the larger outrigger boat anchored further from the dock and you have to take a
little boat (they call it “tonda”) to take you to the outrigger boat. For this service there is a charge for about
5.00 Pesos per person and 5.00 Pesos per luggage. On any time you cannot avoid that your feet get wet when you
go on board so be prepared!
