PADI IDC Instructor Course DM Divemaster EFR First Aid Malapascua

CPR and first aid are key skills that are important to everyone, not just scuba divers. As an Emergency First Response (EFR) Instructor, you teach skills based on internationally recognised emergency care guidelines.

Our course is aimed mainly at Divemaster Trainees, Divemasters and those who are thinking of becoming a PADI Instructor. This credential is a prerequisite to become an Open Water Scuba Instructor, but the great thing with the EFR Instructor rating is that you can teach the EFR participant level to anyone not just divers.

During our course you will gain experience in how to structure learning, the requirements of performance-based training and your role as the instructor in the learning environment for teaching CPR and First Aid.

You also learn how to motivate students, evaluate student knowledge, present course content effectively, become proficient in developing students’ hands-on skills practice sessions, and are taught how to present an effective scenario-based learning experience.

Our course covers both the Primary & Secondary Care Course for Adults as well as the Care for Children Course. As an Instructor, you can teach these portions separately or together, giving you plenty of opportunity to market your potentially life-saving skills to a wide range of people.

You also learn to conduct the highly valuable Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and Emergency Oxygen administration management skills.

Importantly, this course is taught by EFR Instructor Trainers who are committed to making the course a “serious fun” experience, leaving candidates with the confidence to pass on skills and knowledge to future students in a positive learning environment.

The EFR Instructor course is included in all of our IDC packages
